Essex Police seeking Martin Stokes for questioning after three run over outside Sugar Hut, Brentwood

ESSEX Police has released a photograph of a man wanted for questioning over a disturbance outside the Sugar Hut nightclub in Brentwood High Street.

The force said Martin Stokes, 23, of no fixed abode, ’is believed to hold key information about the incident, which resulted in three people being hit by a blue Audi following a fight’.

The incident occurred at 3.10am on Sunday, April 2.

A police spokesman said: “One of the victims remains in a critical condition in hospital.”

Stokes is 6ft and ’stocky’, said police. He has links to Essex, London, Hertfordshire and Northern Ireland.

DI Stuart Truss, senior investigating officer from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “We need to speak to Stokes in connection with this incident and we urge him to come forward. We also urge anyone who has information or knows of his whereabouts to get in contact with our investigation team.”
